Creating A Timeless Summer Wardrobe

Sometimes it seems as if the phrase “summer fashion” is a contradiction in terms. After all, it seems that to most of us, summer is more about what you’re not wearing than what you are wearing or paying the largest amount of money for the smallest amount of material. However, a good fashionista knows that style knows no seasons and no amount of heat is a good excuse for looking shabby. So, with that in mind, here is a look at making the most out of the least.

Woman in yellow dress

The Canary Yellow Dress
Sure, we’ve all heard of the LBD, but what about the LYD. Sundresses are an absolute summer staple, and yellow is bound to look fabulous in any cut. So inch up those hems and buckle up those sandals and go yellow!

The Shorts Suit
The shorts suit is a summer favorite. The sleek coordination says “fashion” while the shorts say summer “fun.” Try it on for a study in contrasts and a break from the traditional evening or sundress.

Woman in crop top

Crop Tops
Firm abs are all the rage these days, and if you’ve got ’em, flaunt ’em. Remember, though, balance is the key here. Keep it classy by saving the bareness for above the belly button and go for a little more material below the waistline.

The Head Scarf
Go for some instant boho with the head scarf. You can wear this in a multitude of ways: leave hair down and wrap all the way around, rock star style, or use it to hold back hair for a more classic look. It will jazz up any outfit, no matter how small.

Woman with shades and red lips

Bright Shades, Bright Lips
We all know the importance of UV protection on sunny days, we can’t help it if looking great comes with the territory! Spice up your shady lady look with some bright lips for a little summer fun.

Embroidery and appliqué have made their mark on winter fashion, and it looks like their going to be just as popular this summer. Try some floral patches on your denim cutoffs for some casual rock fest hippie style.

Woman in lace top

Lace is a great way for making a fashion statement while wearing the least amount of clothing. Layer it over a slip or under a button-down shirt, or pair a lace skirt with a graphic tee for an out of the box look.

Mixed Prints
Have some fun experimenting with light checks and pastels, or stripes with florals. Think of one print as a solid, and take it from there. The possibilities are endless,

How are you dressing (or undressing) this summer? Let us know how you’re looking hot and keeping cool!

Showing Off Your Cleavage

Some women have no qualms about wearing impossibly low-cut tops and baring it all for everyone to see, but many are more reserved when it comes to cleavage. Showing off cleavage can make you feel incredibly feminine and sexy, but if you expose too much, you may also feel a bit uncomfortable. Below, find out some tricks to tastefully showing off your cleavage.

Lace dress

Try Lace
For those who want to be very modest, a lace top can be the perfect fit. Looking for a lace-yoked shirt or a top with a sheer panel is one of the most conservative ways you can show off your cleavage. Wearing clothing such as this is less about blatantly baring your breasts and more about hinting at the cleavage underneath these thin fabrics.

Use Some Accessories
Adding a few accessories to your upper half can be a great way to call attention to your cleavage without having to show too much off. You can wear any type of jewelry that you like from dainty and delicate to chunky statement pieces. Experts recommend that if you want to show off your cleavage, try a necklace that reaches the very top of your cleavage (or as close as you can get) and to find a necklace that sparkles. Anytime your necklace catches the light, your cleavage will get the attention you want.

Button up blouse

Wear a Button Up Blouse
Button ups are an easy and customizable way for your to show off your cleavage. These tops can take you easily from the office to the evening by adjusting a few buttons here and there. Pair your button up with a lacy silk camisole for added femininity or just choose a bra with great support to help you display your cleavage in a tasteful manner.

Balance Your Skin With Fabric
If you are wearing a shirt that is low-cut, it’s important to balance out the amount of skin you show with fabric. For instance, if you are wearing a top that has a very low scoop or square neckline, be sure to pair with more fabric elsewhere. You want to draw attention to your cleavage, while keeping the rest of your look subtle and covered. Low-cut tops with sleeves are perfect for achieving this look, but you can also pair a short-sleeved top with more conservative bottoms like a midi or maxi skirt.

Plunging neckline

Try a Plunging Neckline
This is for the most daring and adventurous ladies that want to show off their cleavage. Plunging necklines are a staple on the red carpet, but you can definitely work the look yourself by following a few rules. First, this look is very dramatic, so pick the right occasion to rock a plunging neckline. New Year’s Eve parties or a glam girls’ night out are perfect occasions for this dress. Work? Not so much. Also, be sure to remember the earlier rule about balancing out your neckline with fabric. Some celebrities wear dresses with plunging necklines that are floor-length and have long sleeves.

No matter what size you are working with, there are ways for your to tastefully show off your cleavage. Remember that when showing off your cleavage, you want to focus on that area of your body only, so keep the rest of your clothing simple and modest for the most modern look.

Runway Trend in Real Life: Lace Up Flats – Vine Vera Reviews

Lace Up Flats

Fashion designers and consumers alike anxiously await fashion shows with each coming season’s approach, just begging for the next look at the next big thing in clothing. Style has inspired many real life trends in which people have taken and made their own, adding their own ideas and flair. Vine Vera Skincare brings you one of the real life trends found on runways this season – lace up flats. With the many different styles and colors abounding, and with spring finally here, now is the time to update your closet with some of the newest must have shoes for spring.

Ballerina Lace Up Flats
Ballerina lace up flats have become increasingly popular over the past decade, and seem to be here to stay – at least for a while. They look feminine, elegant, and dramatic paired with a frilly skirt, dress, or even a pair of sailor shorts. The gorgeous chiffon-like ribbons used to lace the shoes up the leg look absolutely fantastic and classy. Whatever you choose to pair them with, it’s best to stick with basic colors in ballet flats, such as light pink, tan, or black, which not only looks the most natural – but you can wear them with more outfits and get more use out of them as well.

Sandal Lace Up Flats
Sandal lace up flats are all the rage right now. Sandals have always been a popular spring and summer staple, but these take the typical pretty sandals of the warmer months, and turn them into something sexy and spectacular. Generally, there is a shoelace like material in which to tie sandal lace up flats with – but you may find a ribbon of some sort with this style. With so many colors and styles to choose from, these sandals can tie an outfit together (literally) even without accessories. They look great with anything, from shorts, dresses, capris, rompers, or skirts.

Ankle Tie Flats
This style can be quite similar to the sandal lace up flat look – but the ankle tie flats are different in that they are usually based off of other styles such as oxfords, and sometimes sandals, but don’t tie up past the ankle. The ankle tie flats seem to pair very well with pants of any style due to the low tying look, and there are ample styles to choose from. VineVera loves the look of ankle tie flats in stiletto form, and we think these types of flats are one of our favorites for their versatility.

Moccasin Lace Up Flats
Moccasin lace up flats take these traditional Native American styled shoes to a whole new level. You can find them in traditional tan and brown colors with suede or leather ties, or even in more fashionable color schemes with varying lace up materials. This is one of the trendiest looks for the spring and summer 2015 season. Find them with or without tassles, and with or without beads. This style is truly based on personal preference.

These are just a few of the lace up flat styles we at Vine Vera are in love with, and we hope to have shed some light on this hot off the runway trend so that you can implement the style into your wardrobe update for spring.
