Your special day is coming up quickly and you, understandably, want your skin to look as fabulous as possible. It can be nerve-wracking enough trying to make sure your wedding goes smoothly, but then when it comes to your skin, it may feel like you have no control over it whatsoever. The good news is that you do! There are several skin care tips that you can adhere to as a bride-to-be to help increase your chances of having the gorgeous skin you desire.

See a Dermatologist
If you have specific concerns about your skin, you’ll want to see your dermatologist about 6 to 8 months before your wedding so you can address the issues as soon as possible. The two of you can come up with a tailored plan so your skin can look as wonderful as you want it to for your big day.

Don’t Try Any New Products
The closer your wedding gets, the more you may feel inspired to try different products in an effort to improve your skin’s appearance. This may not be such a great idea. You don’t want to have any type of reaction on your skin from products that you thought would help. Stick to the products that you’ve been using that you already know work for you.

Woman moisturizing legs

Moisturizing could help your skin look amazing for your wedding day. Apply it throughout the day, but make sure to do it right after you step out of the shower. Pay special attention to areas that usually need a little extra TLC, such as your feet, elbows, knees, and the backs of your arms.

Load Up on the Sunscreen
Chances are you don’t want a sunburn for your wedding day, and you may not even want tan lines, so it’s a good idea to make an even more conscious effort to load up on the sunscreen in the months leading up to the ceremony. Opt for at least SPF 30, apply it about 30-minutes before you will be exposed to the sun, and don’t forget to continuously reapply it every two hours throughout the day.

Woman meditating

As a bride-to-be, you’re probably feeling quite stressed as your wedding day approaches. However, that’s not going to do anything good for your stress levels or your skin. Meditating can help, and the best part is that you can do it anywhere whether it’s in the comfort of your own home or while you’re in the bathroom stall at work.

Change Your Diet
Adjustments in your diet could result in a big improvement in the look and feel of your skin. For example, load up on green tea and vegetables, but you may want to stay away from dairy and junk food. The sooner you incorporate healthy changes before your wedding, the better it could be for you.

As flawless as you probably want your skin to look for your wedding, keep in mind that you’re still going to look and feel amazing, especially when you catch the eye of the person waiting for you at the end of the aisle.
